We are excited to announce that our official Broads of the Beltway launch party is this Saturday, July 16th.
This awesome shindig will be held from 7-10PM at the brand new Shaw’s Tavern, right off the Shaw-Howard U metro. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will go to Women Empowered Against Violence (WEAVE), a counseling and legal service provider for female victims of domestic violence in Washington, DC.
Admission is free. Desserts throughout the party will be sold for $3. Shaw’s Tavern will also offer pizza and drinks. Broads of the Beltway t-shirts will be available for sale.
Your job is to show up, mingle with local celebrities*, and enjoy the fine drink specials. If you promise to endure our minimal efforts of self-promotion, we promise to retain our shame. You can RSVP here and here.
Any and all are welcome. We look forward to seeing you! Like any respectable launch, the evening will end with our sending a rocket into space.
